Most restaurants in Iraq manage orders through a combination of WhatsApp messages, paper notes, and a disconnected cashier register. FAYA E-Menu was built to replace that entire stack with a single, connected system — where the guest's order travels from menu to kitchen to receipt without a single manual re-entry.
This is how we thought through every step of the ordering process, what problems we found, and what we built to solve them — inside one platform, under one subscription.
The Problem: A Broken Order Journey
Before FAYA, a typical restaurant order flow looked like this: a guest sends a WhatsApp message (or shouts across the room), a staff member writes it on paper, someone carries that paper to the kitchen, another person rings it up at a separate cashier system, and a receipt gets printed from a different machine entirely. There are four handoffs — each one a potential point of failure, delay, or human error.
The bigger problem: none of these tools talk to each other. The digital menu has no connection to the cashier. The cashier has no connection to the kitchen. Coupons are tracked in a spreadsheet. Order history lives nowhere.
Three tools. Three subscriptions. Zero integration.
Restaurant owners were paying for a digital menu, a separate POS, and a cashier app — and still managing the gaps between them manually.
The FAYA Solution: One Connected Order Flow
FAYA doesn't patch over these gaps — it eliminates them. The guest menu, ordering system, cashier view, POS terminal, and order history are all part of the same platform. One subscription. One dashboard. One source of truth for every order.
Here's what that flow looks like from end to end:
The Orders Dashboard: Your Real-Time Command Center
When an order arrives, it lands in the FAYA dashboard instantly. You don't need to refresh or check your phone — new tickets appear in the queue. Every order shows the customer name, what they ordered, their table or phone number, and a timestamp.
From there, the owner or staff member can accept or reject the order, update its status as it moves through preparation, and print a receipt. The whole workflow is visible in one panel — you can search by order number, customer name, phone number, or coupon code.

Notice the search bar at the top — it covers order ID, customer name, phone number, and coupon codes. If a guest calls asking about their order, you find it in seconds.
Introducing Cashier Mode: A Full POS Built Into the Dashboard
One of the most-requested features from FAYA restaurant partners was the ability to handle walk-in and counter orders — not just orders that come through the digital menu. For that, we built Cashier Mode.
Cashier Mode transforms the FAYA dashboard into a point-of-sale terminal. Staff can browse the same menu, build a cart for a walk-in customer, apply discounts or coupons, and print a receipt — all without switching to another app or touching a separate cashier system.
One menu powers both the guest QR flow and the cashier POS
When you update a price or add a new dish to your FAYA menu, that change instantly reflects in both the guest-facing QR menu and Cashier Mode. No double-entry. No sync issues.

Cashier Mode is designed for speed — a staff member can build a full order in under a minute, apply a coupon, and print the receipt without ever leaving the FAYA dashboard.
Coupons & Discount Codes: Marketing Built Into Operations
FAYA includes a native coupon system — not a third-party plugin. Restaurant owners create discount codes directly from the Orders section, set the discount amount or percentage, define a validity window, and share the code with customers.
This means your promotions and your orders are in the same system. You can see exactly how many orders used a specific coupon, what the revenue was, and whether the campaign was worth running again.

FAYA POS: The Physical Extension
For restaurants on the Custom plan, FAYA provides a dedicated POS device — a physical terminal at the counter or kitchen window. Unlike a generic POS, the FAYA POS is directly connected to the e-menu: orders submitted through the guest's phone appear on the POS in real time, with an alert notification.
The same order that a guest placed by scanning the QR at their table arrives at the POS automatically. Staff accept it, print the receipt, and the status updates. No WhatsApp relay. No paper re-entry.
Real-time alerts
New guest orders trigger an instant notification on the POS device — no manual refresh needed.
One-tap printing
Accept an order and print the receipt in one action. Built for kitchen speed.
Always in sync
The POS reflects your live menu. Price changes and new items update instantly.
All orders, one history
QR orders and counter orders appear in the same dashboard log. One view of the full day.
Everything in One Subscription
The point of all of this is not just that each feature works well on its own — it's that they work together, and you don't pay separately for each piece.
A FAYA Plus subscription includes the guest QR menu, online ordering, coupon management, order dashboard, and receipt printing. The Custom plan adds the physical POS device, cashier mode for walk-in orders, and custom setup support. No additional subscription for the POS. No separate ordering module fee.
Other platforms sell you a menu, then charge extra for every capability you actually need.
FAYA is designed as a complete operating system for your restaurant's ordering workflow — one plan, one dashboard, one source of truth for every order.
If you run a restaurant, café, dessert shop, or food retail business in Iraq or the Gulf, and you're still managing orders through disconnected tools, FAYA E-Menu was built specifically for you. Start with the menu, turn on ordering when you're ready, and grow into the full platform at your own pace.
